Two of my friends and I thought it would be a great idea to go to New York City on a bus trip just for one day this summer. We will all be 18 years old at the time, and us three girls are all very responsible, good students. We don't live far from the bus station, and from there we're only two and a half hours from NYC. My mother seems very iffy about the situation and may not let us go because she is scared for us being in a large city. We only plan on staying in nicer areas of Manhattan, mostly Soho and Times Square for shopping purposes. How would you react to this request as parents? Would you allow us to go? Why or why not?
