Southwest's Early Bird Check-In?

Okay, next month, I'm flying on Southwest and I purchased the Early Bird Check-In (it was only 20 bucks so I just went with it). Is it really worth the money? I know Southwest makes you get up like 24 hours before departure to get your boarding pass, but will the Early Bird thing really get me to be toward the front of the line?
