Would I get new guitars from Denmark street?

Well... I went down Denmark street in London soho for the first time! And the guitars shops are great. The only thing that I'm condused about is: the guitars that I saw on display were all very old and scratched... So, if I like the sound of a guitar that's a bit scratched does that mean that this is the one they'll give me or would they give me a new one? :)
